21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Training and Technical Assistance

Overview

Synergy provides technical assistance (TA) and training to the U.S. Department of Education’s Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program grantees, which provide out-of-school-time (OST) academic enrichment opportunities to underserved populations. Synergy’s interdisciplinary team developed and currently maintains the You for Youth (Y4Y) TA Portal, which offers free online professional learning and resources for OST site coordinators and program directors. The portal is designed to support the important work that happens in an OST setting and embraces positive youth development and resilience practices to create environments that nurture the healthy development of the whole child—and the whole staff. It contains more than 20 interactive courses, several Click & Go microlearning modules, and more than 400 resources, as well as webinar archives, career development resources for OST practitioners, and a blog. In addition to the portal, we provide virtual and on-site targeted TA, produce quarterly webinars, present at conferences, create and curate all resources, and ensure that the portal meets all security requirements.
