Desktop Publisher

We are looking for a talented Desktop Publisher for a part-time hire opportunity. This is a great chance to gain exposure and experience working with a company that provides information technology and management consulting services.

 

  • The candidate will work closely with clients and Communications Division team members.
  • Will support the lead desktop publisher in the development of several large annual statistical reports.
  • Will be responsible for preparing, formatting, and revising technical content, figures, and statistical tables used in annual reports, presentations, papers, and websites.
  • Having strong attention to detail is critical for success in this role, along with experience using Adobe InDesign and Acrobat.

 

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), DeltaGraph, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to adhere to compliance; ability to make sure that edits or revisions are not missed
  • Experience in formatting/editing technical publications to include formatting and illustration
  • Experience working with Federal government agencies preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team

 

Other job requirements:

  • The position requires that individuals be available to work as necessary throughout the standard workweek and often on weekends as well. 
  • The position requires that individuals must have or be able to obtain a Moderate Risk security clearance.

 

  • Physical demands:  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Employee may use office equipment such as telephone, computer, computer software, calculator, printer, copier, and facsimile. 
  • Work environment:
  • Employees are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Employees can work from home for this position; however, they must have WIFI and the requisite equipment (such as computer and printer) to perform the work required for this position.
