Junior Quality Assurance Tester

JOB DESCRIPTION

Synergy Enterprises Incorporated (Synergy) is seeking an entry-level Quality Assurance Tester (QAT) to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of software application (tools, mobile applications, websites) testing, ensuring all applications are stable and defect-free. The ideal candidate will support the development team and work closely with an extended team to resolve quality issues, playing a vital part in our operations.

The preferred candidate will have an eye for detail and an ability to research new tools and usability methods. In addition, the candidate should be comfortable working independently within multiple high-functioning development teams. This is an internal client-facing role where the candidate will work with Synergy staff to collect information, including project assets, content, and ticket requests. The candidate is also responsible for comprehensive end-to-end testing of the Synergy client deliverables, including User Interface and functional or third-party integrations.

As this is an entry level position, the candidate will be provided with training including required project background, context, as well be provided the necessary protocols and tools for the job. The successful candidate will ensure that nothing goes to a client without supervisor – QA Analyst’s – stamp of approval.

This is a remote position, and the selected candidate is not required to be at the company’s physical location unless requested by client on an as needed basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate all signoffs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases, etc.) and that testing meets governance requirements.
  • Support the design, development, execution, and analysis of test strategies and plans for the program.
  • Support the planning, execution, and analysis of test strategies and plans for the program.
  • Support the integration and system testing activities and support the testing maturity effort.
  • Support in the development of all documentation for test plans, test estimates, test cases, and test scripts.
  • With the guidance of supervisor, create test cases prior to the beginning of development.
  • Coordinate software testing process activities and implement testing best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with business units, development teams, and project management to facilitate and ensure the functionality of unique accounts.
  • Attend internal and external project meetings to understand Client requirements and contribute to project definition, as necessary.
  • Prioritize testing based on risk and business deadlines.
  • Assess situations and quickly identify solutions.
  • Test across multiple platforms.
  • Support the working relationship between the QA team, the development team, the QA environment team, and the business partners as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Limited experience with MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Work as a part of a team and execute tasks independently as the situation demands.
  • Ability to think logically to interpret and analyze problems assigned or encountered.
