Principal Data Analyst

Job Summary:

Synergy Enterprises, Inc. is searching for a Principal Data Analyst. The Principal Data Analyst will work closely with both evaluation and technical staff, and provide support in a variety of areas. Such areas may include providing technical assistance, developing publications, developing data collection tools, and analyzing and reporting data.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Determine research activities and best course of action for accomplishing objectives.
  • Provide support for a variety of activities, including, but not limited to, participation in technical review panels, developing research reports, white papers, case studies, fact sheets, and technical-assistance related products.
  • Work with IT and Communications staff to ensure client deliverables are of high quality.


  • Extensive experience with High School Longitudinal Study of 2009 (HSLS:09) recent data files is required.
  • Advanced skill set with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated skills in researchand analysis (knowledge of SAS required), including work with complex sample analysis.
  • Experience in one or more specific data collection methods: multi-mode surveys, cognitive interviewing, focus groups, and/or secondary data analyses
  • Self-starter with strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • The right candidate excels at working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing several complex assignments with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing ICR packages for OIRA review is a plus.
