Jr. Research Associate, Training and Technical Assistance
Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned government contractor, is seeking a Junior Research Associate to work remotely. The Junior Research Associate will work closely with both evaluation staff and technical staff, providing support in a variety of areas. Such areas may include responding to technical assistance requests, reviewing and editing publications, preparing and monitoring social media posts, analyzing data, preparing reports, and completing administrative tasks. Job location remote with ability to use an office and/or meeting space when needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to technical assistance inbox requests.
- Coordinate and facilitate events using Zoom and Teams.
- Write, review, and edit a variety of informational products, written materials and website and online resources.
- Monitor and post on a virtual discussion board and social media tools.
- Assist with data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting efforts.
- Help maintain quality control measures across the project to ensure client deliverables are of high quality.
- Be proficient and professional representing the TA Center and its various endeavors at off-site events, meetings, and via phone, email and online meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Education or Social Science related field.
- Advanced skill set with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web-based databases.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Excels at working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to work under pressure, managing several complex assignments with multiple deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including proofreading or copyediting experience.
- Has an understanding of online data collection forms.
- Special expertise in the fields of education, social media marketing, evaluation, research is a plus.
Other job requirements:
- The position requires that individuals be available to work as necessary throughout the standard workweek and often on weekends as well.
- The position requires the ability to travel, including overnight (approximately 20% of the time, depending upon need).

- Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Employee may use office equipment such as telephone, computer, computer software, calculator, printer, copier, and facsimile.
- Work environment: Employees are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
