Training and Data Specialist
Job Summary:
Synergy Enterprises, Inc. is searching for a Training and Data Specialist. The responsibilities of the Training and Data Specialist will be to provide content development and training services in support of the Office of Indian Education Technical Assistance contract.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs training activities and other materials, including on-site and virtual events directed at adult learners who work within the Department of Education grant programs.. Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the related field. Should have a strong interest in education, educational interventions for k-12 students, and/or Native American education policy. Experience working with Indigenous grants. families and students desired. Daily responsibilities may include:
· Participate in conference calls with the client and other team members as necessary
· Work with team staff to update or modify training presentation(s) as necessary to meet TA needs of participating programs, checking with Lead Training Specialist whether approval is needed for edits/changes
· Walk through finalized training presentation(s) with co-trainer and any guest speakers (if any)
· Facilitate both virtual and on-site training sessions and collect participant information via sign-in forms and training feedback forms for Lead Training Specialist
· Work with the Lead Content Specialist to support the development of Technical Assistance and Training materials including, but not limited to:
· PowerPoint Presentations
· Podcasts
· Resource sheets
· Fact sheets
· Writing short informational reports and publications,
· Developing, analyzing, and reporting on datasets, both large and small,
· Verifying and proofing data tables and other statistical reports,
· Analyzing a variety of data with minimal instruction.
· Ensuring data and reporting meet high standards, including various Federal guidelines.
· And other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience facilitating training sessions
- Experience working with grants, students and families within the Indigenous community
Physical demands and work environment:
· Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Employee may use office equipment such as telephone, computer, computer software, calculator, printer, copier, and facsimile.
· Work environment: Employees are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel:
- Travel to grantee locations and the Synergy Office in North Bethesda, MD is expected on occasion.
